Biografia: 

Wykształcenie:
• 2007 - 2012. Doktorat w Norweskim Instytucie Polarnym (Norwegian Polar Institute, Tromsø, Norway) oraz w Instytucie Geologii Uniwersytetu w Tromsø (Department of Geology, UiT, The Arctic University of Norway, Tromsø, Norway) pod kierunkiem prof. Morten Hald, prof. Nalan Koc, dr Dorthe Klitgaard Kristensen oraz dr Katrine Husum. Temat rozprawy doktorskiej: “Benthic foraminifera in an Arctic fjord: recent distribution and fauna of the last two millennia”. Praca została wykonana w ramach realizacji projektu: "Assessment of benthic foraminifera as environmental proxy in the Arctic region (ForArc)".
• 2002 - 2007. Magisterium z oceanografii na Wydziale Biologii, Geografii i Oceanologii Uniwersytetu Gdańskiego pod kierunkiem prof. dr hab. Jana Marcina Węsławskiego i prof. dr hab. Marka Zajączkowskiego. Temat rozprawy magisterskiej: "Rozmieszczenie otwornic bentosowych w fiordzie Hornsund, Svalbard". Egzamin dyplomowy (28 czerwca 2007) oraz tytuł magistra obroniony z wynikiem bardzo dobrym.


Zainteresowania naukowe:
Otwornice z rejonów Arktyki, Antarktydy oraz Północnego Atlantyku, mikropaleontologia, holoceńskie rekonstrukcje paleośrodowiskowe, proxies – narzędzia i sposoby przeprowadzania rekonstrukcji paleośrodowiskowych, plaeooceanografia, plaeobiologia.

Opis projektów badawczych:
• 2016-10 – 2017-01
Modern benthic foraminifera – diversity and distribution in biogeographic ecoregions in the Arctic. Stanowisko: postdoc. Bogactwo gatunkowe i rozmieszczenie bentosowych otwornic w około-Arktycznym regionie na podstawie ponad 50 opublikowanych prac naukowych, między 1953 do 2017 roku. Pierwsza obszerna lista gatunków (638 gatunków) i baza danych dla arktycznych otwornic bentosowych w 28 ekoregionach Arktyki. (grant Centrum Studiów Polarnych, Instytut Oceanologii PAN, Sopot) Kierownik: prof. dr hab. Maria Włodarska-Kowalczuk.
• 2012-10 - 2015-11
Circumpolar Deep Water upwelling and West Antarctic Ice Sheet stability (CircumWAIS). Stanowisko: postdoc. Otwornice bentosowe z Morza Amundsena (wschodnia Antarktyda) jako klucz do odtworzenia zamian środowiskowych i ich chronologii po Maksimum Ostatniego Zlodowacenia. Rekonstrukcja wpływu ciepłych okołobiegunowych wód głębinowych (Circumpolar Deep Water) i jego rola w cofaniu się lodowca szelfowego w rejonie Morza Amundsena. (Norwegian Research Council Grant). Kierownik: prof. Tine Lander Rasmussen.

Benthic foraminifera in Kongsfjorden (BeFKon). Stanowisko: kierownik. Badanie sezonowej zmienności współczesnych otwornic bentosowych w arktycznych fiordach i jej wpływ na interpretacje wysokiej rozdzielczości zapisów zmian palośrodowiskowych. (Arctic Field Grant 2008, Svalbard Science Forum).
• 2007-08 - 2012-09
Assessment of benthic foraminifera as environmental proxy in the Arctic region (ForArc). Stanowisko: doktorant. Otwornice bentosowe w arktycznych fiordach Svalbardu jako klucz do rekonstrukcji zmian środowiskowych i ich chronologii w późnym Holocenie (ostatnie 2000 lat); rekonstrukcja wpływu ciepłych wód atlantyckich na szelfowy obszar Svalbardu (Norwegian Research Council Grant). Kierownik: prof. Morten Hald.
